At Last....

Ducky blanket as you can see here it is a rainbow of color
When I first created this blog, I intended to use it to promote my business...unfortunately that was short lived.  I was doing direct sales for The Angel Company, and the company was hit hard by the economy and is no more. At that time, I had decided to show case paper crafting only here. Since I am no longer using this for my business, I decided that I won't limit myself to just paper crafting (stamping and scrapbooking), instead I will show case all my crafting skills...be prepared, there are many.  I am keeping the name...it took me a long time to decide on The "ink" perfect angel, and with the fact that I am a perfectionist and am striving not to be so much of one, the name is appropriate.   So with that a new post...at last.

This is a baby blanket that I created.

At the moment, I am working on a great many things.  Some of them I will be able to post right away, some of them will have to wait until I have given them as gifts.  So bear with me. I will try to post at a regular pace.

At the left is a baby blanket I crocheted. the pictures don't do it justice.  I have made two of these so far, and neither of them are identical.  The first one was a gift for the baby of a cousin.  The second was an order after seeing a picture of the first.
At the moment I have a list of things a mile long that need to be crafted.  (I only slightly exaggerate here, it is a full sheet of notebook paper long.) I am on break from classes (I am a very busy grad student in the fall and winter), and am using my free time to get ahead of my list of things that I want to make for Christmas.  I will post items as I can. I hope you check back often, and that you find some inspiration.  Words of encouragement are always welcome. Thanks.

Card Sketch Challenge

For this month, I took a challenge put forth by one of my fellow TAC angels. She provided us with this sketch:

The rules were easy. If you used printed paper they had to be exclusive to The Angel Company, as did all stamp sets. Solid colored cardstock and embellishments could be from anywhere. This is what I came up with:

Here is another view of the same card, so that you can see how it was folded:

Here are the items that I used:
Sunflowers T-3292
Kraft cardstock (TAC)
golden yellow cardstock (not TAC)
Blue cardstock (not TAC)
Versamark stamp pad (TAC)
Chalks
Transcendence Embossing Powder (TAC)
Tropical Mini Brads (TAC)
Glossy Accents (TAC)

To create the main image of the card, I stamped the image using my Versamark, and then I used a q-tip and tapped the chalk along the image to create the color, then did some light blending, and used a chalk eraser to clean up the edges of the image. I then applied Glossy accents to create dew drops.

To create a pattern on the yellow, I simply stamped some sunflowers and embossed them with Transcendence Powder.

First Post

The first post of my blog. It is very much a work in progress. I just recently joined up with The Angel Company to support my hobby and to help fellow card makers and scrapbookers make beautiful mementos that help spread love and joy.

I will use this blog to share with you the monthly specials and promotions that The Angel Company has, as well as tips, tricks, and techniques that I learn and want to share. I will also post cards and scrapbook pages that I create. I will even sometimes give you step by step instructions so you can make things right along with me.

As always, with angel hugs
